Email info@255bit.it. Include your app version, iOS version, device model, what you were doing and the message you saw. A screenshot can help; hide personal information first.

Only send sample recordings if you choose to and have permission to share their contents. We do not have remote access to your local library.

Import and edit a video

1. Open a project and choose Import Video.
2. Select a video in the system Photos picker and wait for importing to finish.
3. Open the imported take and choose Remove Passage.
4. Set the beginning and end of the unwanted section, confirm the removal and preview the Rough cut.
5. Use Undo or Redo to adjust your decisions during the editing session.

Manual cuts work without a transcript. Editing preserves the original video.

Export and save to Photos

Choose Export to create a video from the passages you kept. Wait for the progress indicator to finish. Choose Save Video to Photos to add it to your library, or Share Export to use the system share sheet.

If Photos access is denied, open iOS Settings, find DuoDirector’s permissions and allow adding photos and videos. Return to the app and try saving again. The local export remains available even if saving to Photos fails.

Horizontal and vertical preview canvas

The canvas control changes the shape of the preview area. It does not crop the source or change the orientation of the exported video. Choose the viewing area that suits the footage and your device posture.

Recording or Speech Follow unavailable

Recording requires supported camera and microphone hardware and permission to use them. Speech support depends on the device, selected script language and available on-device models. Check permissions in iOS Settings and the script’s language in the app.

You can still import, review and manually cut supported videos when recording or transcription is unavailable.

Progress, storage and interruptions

While the app imports, processes, saves or exports, an indicator explains the operation in progress. Allow it to finish before starting another operation. Keep the app in the foreground for long processing tasks.

If storage is insufficient, free space and retry. Settings shows library storage and lets you remove generated exports. Keep an independent copy of important source recordings. If a take is reported as interrupted or damaged, retain its original files while investigating.

Your data

DuoDirector has no user account to delete. Your library is stored locally. Manage content through the app or iOS storage controls; copies in Photos, shared services and backups must be managed separately.
